Can I export my data from Marqly?

Yes, and you don’t need to ask anyone. In the app’s sidebar menu (under Import/Export), Export downloads your bookmarks as a CSV file. The free plan exports your 100 most recent bookmarks; Pro exports the whole library and can export only what’s new since your last export — handy if you keep a running backup outside Marqly.

What’s in the file

The CSV carries four columns: URL, Title, Description, and Tags. That’s a real, portable bookmark file — it imports cleanly into most bookmark managers, including the same browser-HTML/CSV ecosystem Marqly imports from. It is deliberately not an archive: highlights, notes, and board membership stay in the app, and items keep their current titles rather than snapshots.

If you need everything, not just the CSV

For a complete copy of your account — bookmarks plus boards, highlights, notes, and the rest — email support@marqly.com from the address on your account and a human will send it. Requesting it changes nothing about your account; it’s a copy, not a withdrawal.

Why lock-in is the thing to check before you commit

The real cost of a bookmark manager isn’t the subscription — it’s the years of curation you’d lose if you couldn’t leave. Common reasons to export

• Peace of mind. A periodic backup of a library you’ve spent years building — Pro’s “new since last export” makes this a 10-second habit.
• Downgrading or leaving. Note that canceling Pro doesn’t delete anything — your saves stay accessible on the free tier — so exporting is optional, not urgent.
• Closing your account. If you’re deleting your account, export first, because deletion removes your saves permanently.
