What happens when my Marqly trial ends?

When the 7-day Pro trial ends you drop to the free tier — nothing is deleted, every bookmark stays readable and searchable, and only the Pro AI features pause.

When your 7-day Pro trial ends and you haven’t subscribed, your account moves to the free tier. Nothing is deleted — every save, tag, and highlight stays in your account exactly as you left it. What changes is the AI: semantic search, auto-tagging and summaries on new saves, asking AI about your saves, and chatting with YouTube videos all pause until you subscribe. Your bookmarks do not go anywhere — you can still open, browse and keyword-search every one of them. Saving, boards, highlights and read mode keep working.

What you keep on the free tier

The free tier is the foundation of the product, not a locked-out shell. After the trial you can still:

  • Save links from your browser with one click
  • Get AI auto-tagging on every new save
  • Find anything with semantic search — by meaning, not just keywords

Everything you saved during the trial stays readable and keyword-searchable, including a library you imported while trialling. The free tier holds up to 2,000 bookmarks and hides none of them. What pauses

No dark patterns

Signing up for the free tier requires no card at all, so there’s no silent auto-charge trap waiting for people who only wanted to look around.
