Getting started

Is there a Marqly Android app?

There's no Marqly Android app yet. The web app at app.marqly.com works in Android browsers, so you can search and browse your full library from any phone.

No — there is no Marqly Android app today, and we’d rather tell you that directly than bury it. What Android users do have is the web app: open app.marqly.com in Chrome or any Android browser, sign in, and your full library is there — every save, tag, and highlight, with the same semantic search you get on desktop.

What works on Android right now

The Marqly web app is a full client, not a stripped-down mobile page. From an Android browser you can:

  • Browse and search your entire library, including semantic search by meaning
  • See the tags AI applied to every save
  • Open saved articles and your highlights

Everything you’ve saved from Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari on desktop is already there, because your library lives in your account rather than on a device. That’s the same mechanism described in can I sync across devices.

For quicker access, use your Android browser’s “Add to home screen” option on app.marqly.com — it puts a Marqly shortcut on your home screen so the web app opens like an app.

The honest comparison with iOS

iPhone and iPad get a native app — see is there an iOS app — and Android currently doesn’t. If a native Android app is a hard requirement for you, Marqly may not fit yet, and we won’t pretend otherwise. If you mostly save on desktop and need mobile access for reading and looking things up, the web app covers that today.

Will there be one?

We don’t announce dates we can’t stand behind, so this page won’t promise an Android app. You can see what the team is working on in what’s on the roadmap, and if Android support matters to you, tell us at support@marqly.com — a small team genuinely weighs those emails when deciding what to build next.
