What are boards?

Boards are Marqly’s collections: they group related links and highlights around one topic — a project, a course, a reading list, a research thread. Instead of everything sitting in one flat library, a board gives a subject its own page holding everything you’ve gathered on it. Any board can also be shared as a public page that anyone can view without signing up.

What goes on a board

Two kinds of things: links — articles, videos, and pages you’ve saved — and highlights, the exact passages you marked with Marqly’s highlighter. That combination is what makes boards useful for real research: a board holds both the sources and the specific quotes that made those sources worth keeping, side by side.

Automatic filing, deliberate collections

Marqly’s AI auto-tagging files every save for you, so your library organizes itself without folders. Boards sit on top of that as the deliberate layer: curation you do on purpose, for the handful of topics you’re actively working on. You don’t need a board for everything you save — most saves just live in the library, findable by search. Boards are for the projects where you want the material assembled in one place.

Share it or keep it private

Boards are private by default. When a collection is worth showing someone — a resource list, a reading guide, research for a collaborator — share the board publicly: it becomes a public page viewable by anyone with the link, no Marqly account needed.
