How do I report a bug in Marqly?

Email support@marqly.com with steps to reproduce, what you expected, and what happened. For extension bugs, include your browser and the extension version.

Email support@marqly.com with a description of what went wrong and the steps to reproduce it. The most useful reports answer three questions: what you did, what you expected, and what actually happened. If the bug is in the browser extension, include which browser you’re on and the extension version — the same issue can behave differently across Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.

What makes a report actionable

A bug that can be reproduced is a bug that gets fixed. Include:

  • Steps to reproduce — numbered, starting from a fresh page. “Open a YouTube video, click the bookmark button, switch tabs before it finishes” beats “saving is broken.”
  • Expected vs actual — what you thought would happen, and what did.
  • Where it happened — the URL of the page, if the bug involves saving, highlighting, or the YouTube card on a specific site.
  • Your setup — browser and version, and the Marqly extension version.
  • A screenshot or screen recording — worth more than any paragraph.

Finding your extension version

Your browser’s extensions page lists the version number next to each installed extension: chrome://extensions in Chrome, edge://extensions in Edge, about:addons in Firefox, and Settings → Extensions in Safari. Copy the number for Marqly into your email. If you’re several versions behind, updating (or reinstalling from the store listing) is worth trying first — the fix may already have shipped.

Reports go straight to the team behind the product — see how to contact support for the full picture of what support handles. Before writing, a quick check of the help center at help.marqly.com sometimes resolves things faster: what looks like a bug is occasionally a setting or a known quirk with a documented workaround.
